Icelands oldest Food wholesaler implements Inventory Optimiser

The oldest Icelandic wholesaler, Ó. Johnson & Kaaber has decided to implement the Inventory Optimiser from AGR for inventory and purchasing processes. ÓJ&K is currently running Dynamics Navision ERP system from Microsoft, a good match for AGR, as the company has extensive experience in implementing the Inventory Optimiser with Dynamics Nav. „AGR is intuitive and simple to use. We expect the system to simplify the decision process for our purchasers as well as achieving lowered inventory levels through efficient forecasting.“ Says Ólafur Johnson, CEO of OJ&K.

Ó. Johnson & Kaaber is a nationally well known wholesale which presents and distributes products to all the major grocery stores, restaurants, candy shops, specialty shops and other retailers. Employees are around 40, most of them in Reykjavík but also in Akureyri. The company distributes many well known brands such as; Colgate Palmolive, Del Monte, SCA (Libero - Libresse - Edit), Melrose's, Kiwi, Pågen, Tate&Lyle, Deli France, Kim's, Philips Lighting, Gardena.

The company was established in 1906 and is effectively the oldest Icelandic wholesaler still in business. Throughout the years the companies emphasis has been on importing food and sanitary products allthough they have ventured into different sectors, such as hooks, hospitality products and even cars!
