For years, AGR has supported small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) in optimizing their inventory through intelligent forecasting and replenishment tools. With its latest release, AGR now moves decisively into vendor management, offering a new level of visibility into supplier performance alongside the inventory capabilities users already rely on.

This release includes two fully integrated features: Vendor Card and Lead Time Analysis. Together, they transform AGR into a comprehensive platform for both inventory optimization and supplier management.

From inventory planning to supplier visibility

Vendor evaluation remains a challenge for many companies. Performance tracking is often manual, inconsistent, or split across teams, making it difficult to assess how suppliers are actually performing or to compare vendors on a consistent basis.

The Vendor Card addresses this by aggregating real-time supplier performance data in a single view. It includes:

  • Delivery punctuality and delay frequency
  • Lead time variability
  • Order volume and frequency trends
  • Cross-vendor performance comparisons

These insights allow businesses to monitor supplier trends over time, identify under performance early, and bring objective data into supplier discussions and sourcing strategy.

Understanding lead time as a risk factor

Alongside the Vendor Card, AGR introduces Lead Time Analysis, a dedicated tool that moves beyond static lead time averages and captures actual delivery behaviour. Users can visualize how long each delivery took, track fluctuations over time, and assess how consistent a vendor has been.

Key capabilities include:

  • Visual timelines of lead time performance
  • Identification of volatility and emerging reliability issues
  • A lead time reliability score for benchmarking and risk detection
  • Automatic adjustment of safety stock and reorder points from actual lead times

These insights are particularly relevant for SMBs navigating unpredictable supplier environments, where even small delays can create out sized disruption.

Designed for operational use

All insights are generated automatically from data already maintained in each company’s own ERP system—such as purchase orders, delivery confirmations, and receipts. AGR uses this existing operational data to deliver clear, structured views of supplier performance, without the need for manual tracking or reporting.

The tools are built to support day-to-day operational decisions as well as long-term vendor strategy. They offer value for buyers, planners, and operational leaders alike, helping align procurement goals with service level expectations and stock reliability.

Teams can use the tools to:

  • Flag declining vendor performance
  • Validate changes to order frequency or sourcing mix
  • Share data-backed performance summaries internally or with suppliers
  • Benchmark vendor behaviour and evaluate alternatives

Expanding the scope of AGR’s platform

This release reflects a broader shift in AGR’s product strategy. As supply chain resilience becomes a defining concern, supplier performance is no longer peripheral. It is central to both planning accuracy and operational stability.

By integrating supplier analysis directly into its inventory workflows, AGR provides a more complete system for businesses that need to make faster, better-informed decisions. This positions AGR not just as an inventory optimization tool, but as a platform for supply chain performance management.
